In the absence of a good listening environment, a frequency spectrum analyzer can be a light in the dark. I have studied the distribution of sounds on the frequency spectrum and its effects on listener perception for the past four years. The research is ongoing, but every concept is employed to guarantee clarity and presence for all elements.

As a fan of 60s to 80s recording, I'm particular about getting things right at the source, always working to ensure proper gain staging, mic placement, technique and a solid performance off the bat.
I'm careful about making every cut purposeful, well-timed and natural. Music theory knowledge allows me to cut audio to required time frames seamlessly and without sacrificing musicality. Additionally, waveform analyzers allow sample-level precision.
I have mixed audio for a variety of projects from rock to salsa to TV & radio commercials, both in studio & live. I rely on objective measurements and research to deliver high quality mixes even in challenging circumstances.
As a musician, I'm comfortable communicating with artists about their needs and understand that the best works are made when all parties are feeling their best. Being both a performer and a producer allows me to combine the technical with the artistic, develop roadmaps for efficient collaboration and execute a creative vision.
Tailoring sound to fit as a piece of a puzzle makes productions more cohesive. Objective measurements greatly increase the accuracy of mixing & mastering decisions, such as EQ, compression, gain, volume and others. They also ensure consistent quality across listening devices. Furthermore, a strong understanding of music fundamentals makes editing often imperceptible by matching transients, chords and notes on time. Last, but not least, the blending of technical and artistic knowledge enables efficient and fruitful collaborations when executing creative visions.
